Description

Required or AVO Turboworld's Turbo Kit to successfully and safely run.  The solution involves remapping of the Factory ECU and MAP Sensor override. 

The removal of the Factory ECU is required to be bench flashed.  OZ Jimny will help you facilitate this process.

The MAP Sensor voltage override must be wired into the vehicle according to the supplied wiring diagram. 

The tune in the this package has been developed to work with the AVO Turboworld Turbo Kit at a boost level of 5 PSI, and with the factory exhaust system.  This combination will net over 50hp at wheels over stock, with peak torque as low as 3100rpm (Automatic Transmission).

Much greater power and torque figures are possible on a Manual Transmission Jimny, Upgraded Fuel Injectors are required to support this, and are included in the Tuning Solution Price. 

Further to this, a Stage II Tune is available for Manual & Automatic Transmission Jimny's who have opted for an larger diameter Performance Cat-back Exhaust System. 

Why Upgrade to the Stage #2? 

Running the full factory exhaust system with both factory cat converters and the AVO Turbo kit, we always see the boost being restricted to 4~5 PSI due to the restriction in the stock exhaust. By replacing the exhaust with the AVO 304 2” brush finished stainless steel header back exhaust with upgraded higher flowing second cat, straight through muffler and rear resonator allow the back pressure in the exhaust system to drop significantly and allow the boost to increase to 6~6.5 PSI boost.  This combined with the tune gives a good power and torque increase over the stock exhaust due to increasing exhaust flow.  The AVO 304 brush finished stainless steel hi flow catted header back exhaust system gives a very good note to the vehicle and with the polished centre muffler and rear resonator it looks good on the eyes.  Most of all its not noisy at all in the cabin and on a noise test at 3400rpm the noise on a DB meter was only 87DB.

Why it's necessary to change the fuel pump in the Stage #2 - The standard JB74 Fuel Pump showed 90 litres an hour at 13.7 volts and 43psi fuel pressure while the AVO fuel pump showed 155 litres an hour at 13.7 volts and 43psi fuel pressure.  The Standard fuel pump at 90 liters is on border line for the target Hp and what you want is head room on a fuel system and the AVO 155 litre pump gives you this safety margin. 

The Stage #2 Tune with the exhaust and fuel pump added will increase the power from a stock figure of 47kw atw to 82kw atw (74%).  On the road you feel the torque holding on much further in the rev range and the revs to the redline also feel much smoother.  This is illustrated by the fact that the torque increase over stock is 70% and holds on much longer than the stage 1 kit.

Note :  These figures were obtained from a Manual Transmission Jimny and by using the rear wheels (2wd).
